For many Cusco and the Andes are very mystical, with a special energy. It’s the perfect place for a spiritual tour of Peru. This is half day spiritual Cusco ceremony enables you to connect to the spirituality of the Andean region, while also giving thanks for the wonderful elements in your life.
The key aspect of this half day spiritual Cusco outing is an offering ceremony. This is great for those looking for an authentic Andean experience, the opportunity to pay one’s respect to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and to give gratitude for all that one has been given.
This spiritual ceremony was traditionally performed in the month of August before the planting season in order to ask for a good crop. It is still performed for this reason but is now also performed as a symbol of good luck when a new house is bought or a business opened, or by those looking for a connection or who have a personal need.
This tour starts from $128 per person, with two people in the group.
The ceremony normally last approximately an hour and a half with an additional 40 to 60 minutes of travel time. This service can be scheduled at any time throughout the day however we recommend the morning to avoid the mid-day sun.
Your Mother Earth ceremony will begin when your guide and private transport will pick you up at your hotel. You will be brought to a beautiful spot just outside of the city perfect for this spiritual Cusco outing. Here, an authentic Andean priest of Paqo will perform a traditional ceremony using a variety of local products such as coca leaves and seeds, corn, huayruro seeds from the jungle, flowers amongst others while invoking the spirit of Pachamama and the Apus (mountain deities). There will be an interpreter to explain the process as the ceremony progresses. This is a spiritual ceremony and interesting as a spectator but it is also an important part of the traditional culture. Therefore we ask that you only partake in this activity if you have a genuine interest in and respect for the ceremony/culture.
