With a combined total of almost 25 years in the adventure travel industry, the owners of Majestic Peru know that safety is paramount to the enjoyment of our clients and their overall customer experience. For this reason we put safety first.
We understand that when you are deep in the Andes, far from medical help, you need to know that your team have up to date and globally recognised training. All of our guides receive regular training in first aid and we currently have a risk management and advance first aid course scheduled in December for our staff that will be given by an internationally certified Wilderness First Aid Responder instructor.
Our transport providers must all be up-to-date with their insurance and registered for tourism service. They carry first aid kits in the vehicle and at high altitude (greater than 2800m) there will be oxygen in the vehicle during your excursions. Drivers are rigorously screened, and vehicles must be pass frequent maintenance checks.
While trekking, you can rest assured that our cooks are aware of food safety and take every possible precaution with boiling water adequately, washing fruits and vegetables and ensuring that all cooking utensils have been properly cleaned. And while out and about in the city, we will recommend restaurants where we are confident of their standards.
For school or special interest groups, with specific requirements in relation to fire safety, hotel exits and emergency management we have experience in matching international standards to local expectations for visitor risk management.
There are never any guarantees but we want you to know that we are thinking about your well-being every step of the way.
